Certificate Course in Community Health

CERTIFICATE COURSE IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (449-451) The institute having the following infrastructure may apply for accreditation: A. Basic Infrastructure (i) Class Room: Well ventilated, illuminated Classroom for 25 students (minimum area 225 Sq. ft.) should have black board/white board, adequate furniture and also with the availability of exhaust & ceiling fans. (ii) Lab: Well ventilated, illuminated Lab (at least 20 ft. x 20 ft. for 25 students) should have black board/white board, adequate furniture and also with the availability of exhaust & ceiling fans.

Skill and Vocational Education

Skill and Vocational Education is a vital  component of all education initiatives. The National Education Policy 2020 also lays great emphasis on it so that our youth can become economically independent and earn their livelihood with dignity. BOSSE, Sikkim has also given utmost importance to Skill and Vocational education, which is evident from the name of the Board itself that contains ‘Skill Education’ apart from ‘Open Schooling’. Giving importance to Skills  makes education more inclusive and relevant.

Senior Secondary Programmes

Senior Secondary Programme is equivalent to XIIth standard. Those who have successfully passed Secondary are eligible to take admission to Sr. Secondary Programme of BOSSE. All applicants need to submit a self attested copy of their Secondary Certificate. There is no restriction on choice of subjects and combinations, except that minimum one language has to be taken. Learners can choose their subjects from the BOSSE List of Subjects as given below:

Secondary Programme

Secondary Certificate is equivalent to the Xth standard. Eligibility for taking admission to Secondary Programme is minimum 14 years of age as on 31st August for those who want to take the first exam in April-May and 28/29 February for those who want to take their first exam in October-November. There is no restriction on choice of subjects and combinations, except that minimum one language has to be taken. Learners can choose their subjects from the BOSSE
